The Tryon Downtown Development Association presents the 6th Annual Tryon Beer Fest Saturday, Nov. 4 from noon ’til 6pm in the Tryon Depot Plaza. This annual Oktoberfest-style has a limited release of tickets, so don’t wait to secure yours!

 

 

Taste of Asheville: Nov. 16

The Asheville Independent Restaurant Association (AIR) hosts the 2017 Taste of Asheville: Taste & Tunes Thursday, Nov. 16 at The Venue in downtown Asheville. From award-winning southern cuisine to bold new worldly flavors, the Taste of Asheville brings over 40 of Asheville’s famed independent restaurants together for an unforgettable evening of sampling small bites, craft beverages, spirits and vintners. This year, AIR has once again teamed up with the Asheville Buskers Collective to highlight the city’s celebrated street musicians. VIP tickets (early admission) are $100; general admission tickets are $75. Winter Lights at the NC Arboretum: Nov. 17 – Dec. 31

Asheville’s brightest holiday tradition, walk through the winter wonderland of nearly 500,000 energy-efficient LED lights at the Winter Lights at The North Carolina Arboretum. This outdoor holiday exhibit is one of the most popular holiday experiences each year in Asheville. Open nightly Nov. 17 – Dec. 31 from 6 to 10 p.m. All tickets are date-specific and must be purchased in advance; tickets will not be sold at the gate. Dress warm & grab a cup of hot cocoa or cider for the walk!

 

Gingerbread competition at the Omni Grove Park: Nov. 26 – Jan. 4

Enjoy this magical family holiday tradition perfect for the young, and the young at heart! The 25th Annual National Gingerbread House Competition™ will be on display at the famous Grove Park Inn Nov. 26 – Jan. 4. See, experience and marvel at these beautiful creations at the largest gingerbread house display in the nation.
